For residency applicants The open call for Saari Residence 2027 has now closed. We will announce the names of the selected residents on our website on Wednesday, 17 June. Residency places are applied for by submitting an with the required attachments. Individual professional artists, artist duos, and artistic working groups are eligible to apply. In 2027, a major renovation will be underway at Saari Residence. As a result, the residents’ studios and one of the residential buildings will be out of use. Due to the renovation, fewer residency places than usual will be available in 2027, and work will take place in the apartments. Residency places are always applied for one year in advance. The residency places for 2026 have already been filled and were awarded in June 2025. Artists coming from outside Finland to the Saari Residence can apply for support for ecological travel, and artists coming from the Global South can apply for support for travel and visa costs.
